According to reports, Meek Milly must remain behind bars a little while longer as his legal team tries to get him freed from a two-year prison stint.
According to docs, obtained by TMZ, Judge Genece Brinkley says Meek is a “flight risk” and “a danger to the community.” In denying him bail, she also questioned the validity of his clean drug tests … suggesting he might have used something called “Fast Flush” to cleanse his system. Meek’s lawyer went to court and asked for bail pending an appeal on his 2 to 4 year prison sentence for a probation violation. The violation is tied to Meek’s 2008 conviction on drugs and weapons charges. (TMZ)
Recently, Southern rapper Boosie Badazz gave a positive outlook on Meek’s publicized bid.
“Prison don’t hurt you. Let’s get this right. Prison does not hurt you. The only thing it does is take you out the streets for a minute and it might hurt a relationship with a family member or a kid who you’re away from. First of all, if you’re a licensed artist, you’re going to to get checks anyway and you can’t spend them. So your money’s going to stack up on there. You won’t be getting show money but your demand will go up ten times when you come home. Your first two, three months doing shows – $100,000, $100,000, $100,000, $100,000, you’re gonna make it back in two or three months in what you made. Meek Mill is going to do the same thing. Bobby Shmurda is going to do the same thing. Boosie did the same thing.” (“Everyday Struggle”)
