Last week we finally heard some new heat from two Southerners we've been missing. Ace Hood recently announced a new project due this month and dropped the first-look track, "To Whom It May Concern." While Lil Wayne drops another loosey, slowly jumping back into his bag for "Like A Man."
Although Ace Hood recently parted ways with DJ Khaled's We The Best Music Group, the Floridian promises a new mixtape due August 21, Trust The Process, which includes his newly released single "To Whom It May Concern," produced by Foreign Tech.
On the track, the rapper turns the booth into a confessional, vulnerably explaining his absence and addressing the obstacles he's encountered since last being in the spotlight.
Furthermore, he raps:
"Sorry for my absence, I hope y'all understand
No more We The Best, but Khaled still my mans
Critics want the beef but I'm not feedin' in
My loyalty don't stop if we don't speak again"

Meanwhile, Lil Wayne, who's been crushing his features lately, gifts us with a confident and upbeat song of his own, "Like A Man," to continue holding us over until the long-awaited Tha Carter V drops.
Offering smooth melodic vocals and bars over the catchy, electronic-type ONHEL and DJ Sirome-produced beat, Weezy reminds us of his signature witty and whimsical wordplay with rasp and authority.
Additionally, in July, Weezy dropped a four-song EP, In Tune We Trust, where he remixes Playboi Carti's "Magnolia," and teams with Young Jeezy and Mike WiLL Made-It for "Fireworks," and Gudda Gudda and HoodyBaby for "Loyalty," plus Jay Jones, HoodyBaby, and Euro for "Mula Gang."
