This past week was jam-packed with new heat coming from Dave East, A$AP Ferg and Ace Hood. East dropped his first big release with Def Jam, ‘Paranoia: A True Story,’ Ferg dropped his long-awaited ‘Still Striving,’ while Ace rose from hiatus with his project, ‘Trust The Process.’
Last Monday we learned of Ace Hood’s new project, ‘Trust The Process’ where he turns the booth into a confessional addressing his tumultuous career and absence since leaving DJ Khaled’s We The Best Music Group.
On the thirteen track project, the Florida native explicitly speaks on why he left Khaled’s side all the while, donning us with some catchy melodies and clever bars. So you can turn up or sit back and vibe.
Additionally, in regards to his four-year hiatus, he explains that :
“Business, just business. A lot of things that I went through on the business side and the personal side as well. I was just trying to figure out my label situation and what my future would look like in the music industry as an artist."

Also making a hard-hitting debut is Dave East with his first big studio release under Def Jam entitled ‘Paranoia: A True Story.’ Since signing in September of 2016, the Harlem rapper has always kept his ear and music on the streets, dropping tape after tape.
After weeks of promotion, Paranoia finally dropped laced with 13 tracks including features from Jeezy, Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, Nas, and French Montana.
Proving his versatility in storytelling, East gifts us with comical skits, smooth ballads, and of course while keeping his soul in the gutter, plentiful grit-filled tracks.
East’s debut studio album is also on the way, with a rumored Drake feature.
In regards to what we can expect from the EP, East states:
“Pain. I'm a nigga who wear my heart on my sleeve. so every project I put out is what I'm going through in life. I don't want to say I'm Paranoid, but I'm Paranoid. Like I don't know who the fuck around. There’s so many new faces coming at me every day so I don't know who really fuck with me.”

Since November of 2016, we’ve been awaiting A$AP Ferg’s latest drop, ‘Still Striving,’ with an all-star lineup featuring Meek Mill, Migos, French Montana, A$AP Rocky, Rick Ross, and more.
Laced with 14 tracks, Ferg’s junior album, as he even mentions, is more turnt-up gifting us with more club records versus an intro to himself as we’ve seen on his sophomore album, ‘Always Strive and Prosper.’
Furthermore, he admits in regards to the new project:
“This sound is definitely more turnt-up. I gave people some boom-bap on Always Strive and Prosper. The "Psycho" joint in particular, "Let It Bang," and just some spoken word on "Beautiful People." That was more introspective, I would say, as far as getting people to know who Ferg is; the trials and tribulations of my life. With Still Striving, I wanted to hit the clubs. I wanted to have some fun, since we were so serious on Always Strive and Prosper. I want to hit people with some bangers that'll keep them moving."
