While making his way back onto the scene, NY rapper Jim Jones has been making some serious headlines lately. This past week, not only has he broadcast his singing to Roc Nation in turn squashing his beef with Jay-Z, but the Dipset rapstar has now taken a few shots at former Dipset PIC (partner in crime), Cam'ron, in a recent interview with Hot 97's Funk Master Flex.
In conjunction with his controversial interview, which Cam has since responded to, Capo plugged his new track, "Bando", produced by Michel "Navi" Sotolongo and featuring Bronx rapper, Axel Leon, off of his upcoming project, Vampire Life 4.
The track, released Feb 9, shows some love to Migos, with its opening line, "Rain drops falling in a drop" and its identical title of the Atlanta trio's first regional hit. Despite the similarities, the track stands on its own two, with Jones relentlessly jabbing his way to the top and name dropping President Trump; while Hip-Hop new comer Axel Leon proves while new to the game, he's definitely a force to be reckoned with.
On his counterpart, Jones told Billboard, "Axel Leon [who's signed to Live High Management and VL Records] is a kid that grew up in the Bronx; he's one of the most talented kids that I've heard since Juelz when it comes to writing music. If he sticks to his craft he'll have a promising career."
With Jones' Vampire Life 4 on the way, "Bando" is creating some high expectations for the rest of the album. Take a listen and let us know your thoughts below!
