[Music Monday Mention] Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Part 4” & Desiigner’s “Holy Ghost”

Last Thursday (March 23), Kendrick Lamar set the internet ablaze after he posted a cryptic photo on his Instagram signaling his fourth installment in his series, The Heart. And after dropping his new track "Holy Ghost" on Friday, Desiigner can no longer be accused of mumbling.

After nearly five years, Kendrick Lamar dropped his fourth part to his The Heart series and K Dot is still going in on the mic, taking shots at President Trump and other unknown targets, while possibly signaling the release of his next album, still untitled and likely due April 7th.

On the lyrical onslaught, the Compton MC spends about five minutes speaking on political, philosophical and adversarial issues and tells listeners he's unbothered with who holds the crown in Hip Hop.

Following his summer sixteen album New English, Desiigner followed it up with his solo track "Outlet" last month, and most recently with his new joint, "Holy Ghost". The G.O.O.D. Music rapper takes his time enunciating each and every word over a ghostly production you can't resist bobbing your head to.

On the super melodic track, the Brooklyn native slows up his pace and name drops Rihanna, Drake and his recently released, More Life. Desiigner is set to hit the road soon for his Outlet Tour, kicking off April 2nd in Seattle.
