WorldStarHipHop Founder, Lee “Q” O’Denat, Dead At 43

Breaking news per TMZ, the founder of WorldStarHipHop, Q, real name Lee O'Denat, passed away in his sleep Monday night (Jan 23rd) at 43 years old. O'Denat, a Queens native obsessed with the culture of Hip Hop, founded the infamous company 12 years ago in 2005 as a platform for rappers to drop their mixtapes. The site, updated frequently and with over 1 million visitors daily, as many know has grown into so much more than what the founder originally sought out to do. From housing mixtapes, to the most ratchet fights, Q has created a staple in the world of Hip Hop.

Although an autopsy is scheduled for later today, Tues (Jan 24th), a source claims the Worldstarrrr! mastermind possibly died of a heart attack. On behalf of my myself and everyone here at Hip Hop Weekly, we send our condolences to his family and friends. May Lee "Q" O'Denat rest in peace.

Check out a mini-documentary on the CEO and how he came up with WSHH. In the video, you can see who the founder, Lee O'Denat, really is. How amicable and selfless he really was.
